DJ Spider

It's hard to categorize DJ Spider's style. With a love of multiple genres, she'd had a chance to spin just about everything over the last 29 years, including pop, rock, dance, house, indie, retro, darkwave, country, R&B, swing, jazz, and just about everything in between. With her diverse love of music, you'll probably get a little something you didn't expect at one of her gigs and you'll probably smile at least once.

She has been voted “Charlotte’s Best Party DJ” for 7 years (2006-2011, 2013) by the readers of Creative Loafing, and continues to remain active both in the Queen City and across the south. Locally, she has held residencies at the Visulite for Big Mamma’s House of Burlesque, Retroactive Thursdays at the Breakfast Club, and Purgatory at Amos’ Southend. Spider has also been a sci-fi convention DJ for over 12 years, with regular appearances at HeroesCon, ConCarolinas, Dragon Con, and more.

Currently, you can find her at Digital Noir at the Milestone, as well as local venues around town. In her free time, Spider can be found cooking, cosplaying, indulging in geekery and maintaining a number of pets. And, yes, she really is that tall.
