Young Adult Literature

Director: Bev Kodak

The Young Adult Literature Track covers all aspects of YA lit--books, writing, movies, fandom and more. Panels feature industry experts and New York Times bestselling authors, covering a wide variety of topics. We host YA games like "Are You A Deatheater," plus there are free book giveaways raffled off at most panels, and a magical Yule Ball Sunday night of con. YA Lit is the track for fans of Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Divergent and everything in between!

The Young Adult Literature track is gearing up for a fantastic 2017 that will reflect all of the excitement happening in the world of Harry Potter and beyond! As always, we’ll have a great line-up of authors talking about topics that cover the spectrum of YA lit books, films, fandom, and the craft of writing. Whether you’re a fan of Hunger Games, Shadowhunters, or Divergent, you’ll find friends here, and discover so many new fantasy and sci-fi books for the young at heart. This year is especially exciting for Harry Potter fans with the recent release of Fantastic Beasts and we can't wait to talk about the wizarding world in the USA! In addition to covering a variety of YA programming topics, we will be continuing our popular Are You a Death Eater? game as well as dancing all night at our magical Yule Ball. You will definitely want to have your wands at the ready!
