Chandra Free is writer and illustrator of The God Machine, from publisher Archaia.

Born and bred into captivity of Orlando, Florida, Chandra (pronounced CHAN-drah, like Jackie CHAN) finds her present-day home situated some 15 minutes from her childhood haunts. It is here that she concocts her uniquely abstract and elongated art and comics. Intensely interested in the incorporation of psychology into her art, she focuses on the subconscious and human aspects of her characters. In addition to her comic The God Machine, she has worked on the comic Sullengrey (published by Ape Entertainment), as a digital painter for Sacrifice #1 and parts of the Sullengrey graphic novel titled Cemetery Things.

When not chained to her desk, she can be seen out and about at soirees, dancing to industrial clanging, Goth chanting, and Moz-like croonings.
